83 & 84: Turn a Heel, Turn a Corner & Knitting? Not So Much


Columbia Knitters Knit Night

Latte: Ben continues with Ebbtide and a self designed hat
Abby is continuing on the Berlin Socks, and the Adrian vest
Taste: We review Judith Makenzie's video The Gentle Art of Plying
Abby's undecided about her SpaKAL yarn. She's trying to decide whether or not to use it for Eadon.
Stir:Ben spun on a Turkish spindle and plied too! Abby cleaned and polished her wheel with Wood Beams and started a bump of Crown Mountain Farms Superwash Merino in San Francisco Nights,  
Take a Bite: We answer questions on subjects such as : Doctor Who, Sock knitting (again!)

Chai: Abby has been on the town! She saw A Streetcar Named Desire, War Horse and Peter and the StarcatcherBen  mentioned Kurt Vonnegut speaking about the trajectory of story plots. Abby also took a tour of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine.  Abby even went to a Yankee game!
Ben went to the Hungarian Pastry Shop to have his spindling lesson.
Finally: Abby graduated and was ordained! If you are so inclined, you can actually watch the  ceremony here.
Karoline, who gave Ben a spindling lesson also made these amazing cupcakes for Knit Night.

  1. Personally, I think that every knitter's first sock should be made using Silver's sock tutorials. They are super-detailed and easy to understand.
